Matthew graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) in Richmond, VA, in 2017, earning degrees in Biology and Chemistry, along with a minor in Psychology. He graduated Magna Cum Laude with University Honors and also received an Honors Degree from the VCU Honors College.
After graduation, Matthew relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in medicine, with a focus on attending medical school in Southern California. His early clinical experience began in 2017 at Ruane Clinical Research, where he aimed to strengthen his medical school applications.
After spending two years in the clinical research field, Matthew decided to further explore research opportunities and took on the role of Clinical Research Coordinator. Over the following years, he gained substantial experience within the Los Angeles and San Diego research communities, which eventually led him to the position of Lead Research Coordinator for the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine trial.
During the pandemic, his team played a key role in the successful completion of the COVE trial, which contributed to the vaccine's emergency approval and distribution, helping to address the global health crisis.
Matthew’s pivotal role in the COVID-19 vaccine trial reignited his passion for direct patient care, leading him to advance his studies and pursue becoming a healthcare provider. Building on years of clinical research experience, he was accepted into the highly regarded Physician Assistant program at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, CA. Having completed his formal training, Matthew combines his broad healthcare background with a deep commitment to patient well-being, bringing a wealth of knowledge and practical expertise to every aspect of his practice.
